Day Thirteen and Fourteen of "31 Days of Love": Being Hospitable to my Classmates and Feeding a Good Friend

So today, I did two acts of kindness because I wasn't able to do one yesterday.

For my first, I showed kindness to my group project-mates. I bought a bag of party mix snacks so that we could all eat it while doing our work. I tried to be courteous by encouraging all of them to have some.

Later I whipped out these monitor wipers that clean all the grime and dust off the computer screen and helped them get their monitors clean as new.

Finally, I offered to be the one to turn our project in tomorrow and make the trip over to the office where the box is.

Secondly, I reached out to my friend Donald. We've known each other since middle school and hung out a lot in high school, but in college we haven't been able to hang out as much because of our individual schedules. They just don't match up, especially because he works a lot and also hits up the gym pretty often.

Whenever I ask him if he can eat, he's usually busy in some way. So today, I gave him advanced notice and found out when he was free. I took the initiative and made sure we would be able to share a meal (for the first time in a really long time!).

I swiped him in using my last remaining guest swipe because he recently just lost his USC ID card. We got to catch up, though not as long as we would have liked. So tomorrow I'm going to try to get him food again since he has virtually no other way to feed himself.

Yup!

Note to self: Take more initiative and be more creative in my acts of love. I have recently been slacking a little bit and relaxing on my commitment to this. Takin' it up a notch tomorrow!
