Day Ten of "31 Days of Love": Serving My Church as a Parking Attendant

I can't believe it's already been ten days!

Happy Easter everyone. Jesus is risen! Woot!

Today I was at church pretty much ALL day so I inevitably ended up doing my act of love at church.

It was a very busy day for my church not only because it was Easter (the biggest Christian holiday ever) but also because there was some huge ordination celebration for new elders/deacons. This meant that we would be having many guests and that our parking lots would be packed.

There was a need for 6 volunteers to help direct cars to and around the parking areas.

Turns out they had 5 people already, and they were 1 short. So even though I deep down would rather have been playing and hanging out with everyone else, I gladly accepted it as my act of service and love for the day and to my church.

I got to don a very festive vest and even got a light saber to assist me in my duties! :D

So for over an hour I took command of a street corner bowing, waving, gesturing, and directing visitors, guests, and strangers.

Everyone was very nice and overly-appreciative of my services so I felt pretty good about it.

Serve your churches and ministries! Look for a need and satisfy it!
