So it appears I'm a day behind, since I didn't get to do anything particularly significant yesterday for anyone! I'll have to double up one of these days so I don't fall behind!
Anyway, today I put up a Facebook status trying to sell an iPod.
But this is no ordinary iPod! *Salesman voice* All proceeds from the sale of this iPod will be donated to the sending of missionaries! :O
So this is how the story goes:
My Sister (From the other room): "Hey Alex! Do you need an iPod? I have an extra!"
Me: "MM YEA! BRING IT HERE!"
My Sister: "YOU COME AND GET IT!"
Me: "Okay fine!" (gets off computer and goes to other room where sister is unpacking)
.......30 minutes later............
Me: "You know what, I don't really need this. I'm going to sell it"My Sister: "No just keep it. If you do sell it, you can keep half."
Me (lightbulb idea moment): "Hey why don't I sell it and donate it to something? Like my friends who are going on missions this summer?"
My Sister: "Well you do that with your half, I'm going to donate my half to your mission fund!"
And therein lies the birth of my genius selling point: THIS iPOD WILL SAVE SOULS!
Don't you want an iPod like that? :)
This is what it looks like:

It's used but it's in great condition! 4 Gorgeous GigaBytes of pure silver mp3-playing sleekiness!
Let me know if you're interested!
But yes, that is my act of love for today, giving up an iPod that I could easily have kept for myself (to replace the one really crappy old one I have with the broken screen) for the purpose of God's kingdom.
And to be totally honest, I could really use any money I can get right now. I am incredibly broke with no idea how I am going to pay for my mission trip apart from the grace of God! D:
Challenge: Live for a purpose greater than yourself. Such as God's. That might be a good one ;)
Bible Verse of the Day: "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal...No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money" -Matthew 6:20/24
Here's to hoping God will provide for me all that I will ever need in my life :) I'm thinking he will.
